NCARC Trustee Meeting April 13, 2023.
At Strongsville Library, Strongsville, Ohio.
Meeting opened by NCARC President Steve W8IZ at 18:50.
There were 6 members in attendance at the Library: Fred N8AHS, Fred WB8UDA, Paul WB8CYI, Joe N8QXC, Tom K8DMM, and Rob WB2BTI.
The following guest was present: Charlene (XYL of Rob WB2BTI).
The were 7 members in attendance on Zoom: Steve W8IZ, Tom WD8EFF, Rick K8SCI, Dan KB8A, Mary Lou K8MLS, Heidi WD8EFK, and Tom W8WIN.
Approval of the Trustee Meeting minutes of January 12, 2023: a motion to approve by Tom WD8EFF, 2nd by Fred WB8UDA, motion passed.
Treasurers Report: Dan KB8A: Money is in the bank, bills are paid, a copy of the report sent to members. There was a $500 donation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars V.F.W. Post 6676, and a thank you letter was sent by Rob WB2BTI.
Old Business: None.
New Business: None.

NCARC Membership Meeting April 13, 2023.
At Strongsville Library, Strongsville, Ohio.
Meeting opened by NCARC President Steve W8IZ at 19:00.
There were 6 members in attendance at the Library: Fred N8AHS, Fred WB8UDA, Paul WB8CYI, Joe N8QXC, Tom K8DMM, and Rob WB2BTI.
The following guest was present: Charlene (XYL of Rob WB2BTI).
There were 7 members in attendance on Zoom: Steve W8IZ, Tom WD8EFF, Rick K8SCI, Dan KB8A, Mary Lou K8MLS, Heidi WD8EFK, and Tom W8WIN.
Approval of the Membership Meeting minutes of January 12, 2023: a motion to approve by Tom WD8EFF, 2nd by Fred N8AHS, motion passed.
Treasurers Report: Dan KB8A: Money is in the bank, bills are paid, a copy of the report sent to members. There was a $500 donation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars V.F.W. Post 6676, and a thank you letter was sent by Rob WB2BTI.
Field Day: Fred N8AHS: Camping will Start Friday, June 23rd in the evening. Field Day will Start Saturday, June 24th through Sunday, June 25th at Fred’s Tree Farm in Valley City, Ohio using the call sign N8NC.
Fred N8AHS, and Tom K8DMM, will get together next month to go over the site and try to make improvements in the antenna system.
Additionally, Tom K8DMM will be working on a 10 meter antenna and will present recommendations for the overall setup in the coming months.
Also, at least 6 able bodied people will be needed Saturday morning to help set up antennas.
Fundraising: Fred WB8UDA: A $500 donation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars V.F.W. Post 6676 was sent to the treasurer, Dan KB8A.
Membership: Dan KB8A: No new members; an updated roster was sent to club members.
Nets: Fred N8AHS: Wayne NC8F has been faithfully transmitting the Amateur Radio Newsline Reports. Additional net control stations would be appreciated.
Public Service: Tom K8DMM: The Parma Radio Club (W8PRC) is having a Special Event Station on Saturday, April 22nd 2023 at the Historical Stearns Homestead in Parma, Ohio. Any Amateur Radio operator is invited to participate.
Programs: Tom K8DMM: Why 50 Ohms? Why 50 ohms is standard in communications, to be presented at the May 11, 2023 meeting.
Sunshine: None.
Technical: None.
Web Site: Rick K8SCI: Up to date and working. If anything needs to be changed let Rick know.

Other: Fred N8AHS: Norb N8KJT sends his greetings and regrets that he could not attend the meeting.

Field Day: Tom K8DMM: nothing to report
Membership: Dan KB8A will be taking over from Mary Lou K8MLS, and will change the information for the Net script to reflect his credentials.
Public Service: None
Sunshine: Mary Lou K8MLS has resigned. The position is open.
Website: None
Technical: Rick K8SCI and Dan KB8A made a temporary fix of the audio problem with the 145.29 repeater at the Brunswick Site, and will return when the weather is warmer to make the fix permanent. Also, when the weather gets warmer, the antenna and feed line will be checked out at the Clubs North Royalton Repeater Site for the 220 and 70cm Repeaters, which will require a Work Party to be organized.

New Business: Tom K8DMM will send out an email requesting subjects for future presentations.
