NCARC Membership Meeting November 20, 2025.
At Strongsville Library, Strongsville, Ohio.
Meeting opened by President Wayne NC8F at 19:00.
There were 11 members in attendance at the Library: Rob WB2BTI,
Charlene SWL, Fred WB8UDA, Larry NB8Z, Wayne NC8F, Norb
N8KJT, Scott N8OND, Dale KL7V, Paul WB8CYI, Fred N8AHS, and
Terri KF8EZS. There were 2 Guests: Charlie SWL, and David
KE8JDS.
There were 6 members in attendance on Zoom: Steve W8IZ, Steve
N8SIW, Tom K8DMM, Rick K8SCI, Dan KB8A, and Tom WD8EFF.
There was 1 Guest, Stephen N8WB.
A motion to approve the minutes of October 15, 2025 was made by
Tom WD8EFF, and second by Tom K8DMM. Motion passed.
Field day, Tom K8DMM: Field day scores were published by the ARRL,
and N8NC 5A/Bat. class was in last place. In order to improve the
standing of the club in the future, we need to concentrate on better
antennas, for example a vertical dipole, and operating more stations
in digital mode, as the most contacts were on 20 and 40 meters digital.
Fundraising: None.
Membership: None.
Nets, Fred N8AHS: As always, more net control operators are needed.
Anyone can be net control.
Public service: None.
Program: A guest speaker presentation by Stephen Kinford N8WB on
“Getting a Club Started in Providing VE Testing.”
Technical, Rick K8SCI: No problems with the website. As always, if
you see a problem let Rick know about it.
Old Business, Tom K8DMM: The antenna for Dennis W8DFK has been
picked up by Joe N8QXC. It still needs to be installed.
New Business: Nominations for club officers for 2026.
The Candidates for club officers for 2026 are:
For President, Fred Heyse N8AHS
For Vice President, Rob Valentino WB2BTI
For Treasurer, Dan Samara KB8A
For Trustee through 2026: Steve Wolf W8IZ, Tom Bedocs K8DMM,
and Norb Friedrich N8KJT
For Trustee thru 2028: Tom Holmes WD8EFF, and Rick Wells K8SCI
The Secretary position is open at this time.
A motion was made by Rick K8SCI: Since the 2026 Candidates for
NCARC Officers/Trustees are unopposed, that the Nominations be
hereby closed for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Trustee
positions, and that we declare via acclamation that the Election for
those positions are accepted for 2026, and that the open Secretary
position to be filled at a later meeting.
Motion second by Tom WD8EFF. Motion passed.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Rick K8SCI, and
second by Tom WD8EFF.
Meeting adjourned at 20:34.

NCARC Trustee Meeting October 16, 2025.
At Strongsville Library, Strongsville, Ohio.
Meeting opened by President Wayne NC8F at 18:47.
There were 5 members in attendance at the library: Fred N8AHS,
Fred WB8UDA, Wayne NC8F, Rob WB2BTI, Joe N8QXC, and
Paul WB8CYI.
There were 4 members in attendance on Zoom: Rick K8SCI,
Steve W8IZ, Tom WD8EFF, and Tom K8DMM.
It was noted that nominations for club officers will occur
at next month’s November 20, 2025 meeting.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Rick K8SCI, and
second by Tom WD8EFF. Motion passed. The meeting was
adjourned at 18:58.

There were 4 guests: Dave KE8JDS, Terri KF8EZS,
Keith SWL, and Charlie SWL.
There were 4 members in attendance on Zoom: Rick K8SCI,
Steve W8IZ, Tom WD8EFF, and Tom K8DMM.
Treasurers report: Report was emailed to members. A
motion to approve the treasurers report was made by
Scott N8OND, and second by Tom WD8EFF. Motion
passed, report approved.
Field Day, Tom K8DMM: The antenna systems need
improvement. A rotatable dipole antenna is available and
needs to be picked up.
Fundraising: None
Nets, Fred N8AHS: There is a new Amateur Radio Newsline
Host, Ed Rivers – W8IE. Thank you, Ed.
Public service, Wayne NC8F: Assistance setting up tents
for a Red Cross blood drive is needed on October 25, 2025.
Contact Wayne for more information.
Technical, Rick K8SCI: Website is functional. Please go
through the different sections to confirm all is as it should
be. Please notify Rick if you see any problems/issues.
Old business, Wayne NC8F: The club made $531.00 from
sales at the Cleveland hamfest on October 28, 2025.
Volunteer Examiner testing is an opportunity to expose
the club to the public and help bring in new members.
There is still a need to help Dennis W8DFK with his
antenna installation.
The next meeting will be November 20, 2025 at the Strongsville
library and on Zoom at 19:00.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Tom WD8EFF,
and second by Joe N8QXC. Meeting adjourned at 20:00.

A good time was had by all.
President Wayne NC8F: As a quorum is in attendance, Terri KF8EZS has
volunteered to accept the nomination for Club Secretary, thus completing the
2026 Club Officers.
A motion to accept for Secretary of NCARC Terri KF8EZS was made by Rick
K8SCI, and second by Norb N8KJT. The motion was approved unanimously.

Field Day: TOM K8DMM, Computer update – Memory cost is 70% higher
now and we should update before the cost becomes higher. ROB WB2BTI
to help upgrade RAM improvements, and antennas as well.

New Business: TERRI KF8EZS to talk to Pastor Dennis Barta at
Grace Church CMA, to see if any group at church would be interested
to learn about ham radio. TOM K8DMM – Provided additional Input.
